Caretaker Application Pack

We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to work at Abbot Alphege Academy, to job share with our existing caretaker. You will be taking the afternoon shift which will include locking and securing the school at the end of the day alongside other caretaking duties to be split between you and our morning caretaker.

We are a wonderful, growing Academy with a fantastic team of staff, really involved parents and superb, motivated children.  We are housed in a beautiful new building in a lovely area of the city that is also still growing.

We are looking for a caretaker who, ideally, has some experience of working in a school. This is a beautiful new building and will be a pleasure to take care of. You will be responsible for locking our building at the end of the day, minor and day to day maintenance work, and operational work connected with maintaining a school building, as well as keeping our beautiful building looking and feeling pristine.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful Early Years Team at Cameley Primary School. The job will involve working within our Early Years classroom between the hours of 8.30 am until 15.30 pm with a half hour lunch break. Our Early Years Foundation stage unit has the capacity of 43 children from 3 to 5 years old (nursery and reception aged children).

HLTA -TA Application Pack

We are seeking to add two qualified and experienced primary Teaching Assistant and HLTA to our friendly team. This is to ensure we meet the needs of all children across our mixed year classes.

The Teaching Assistant hours will involve supporting learning in KS1 or KS2 classes under the direction of class teachers.  The HLTA hours will involve leading interventions with groups of children from all attainment groups.  In addition to previous experience in KS1 or KS2, training in phonics, evidence-based interventions and / or ‘Thrive’ would be an advantage.  . The post also involves supervising / engaging a class of children for 30 minutes during play at lunchtime to maintain our ‘Bubbles’.

Hours of work: Monday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 – 15:15, Tuesday 8:15 – 15:15 and Wednesday 8:30 – 16:00.

Post 1 is fixed term until 31 August 2021 whilst we evaluate the staffing structure of our growing school to reflect the needs of all of our children. There is the possibility of this role being extended, if a success, as part of this review.  Post 2 is a permanent position due to the relocation of the current post holder.

If you are interested in being put on our supply Teacher or Teaching Assistant list please complete an application form (link above) and email to the relevant school office.

We are ideally looking for people who are flexible and able to cover  from 8.40am to 3.15 pm and who preferably could come in to cover sickness if called from 8 am.

If you are willing to do cover for both Teacher and TA please indicate this on your form.

Please note, we cannot guarantee a set amount of cover per week, although in general those on the supply list have been utilised on a regular basis.

For teaching assistants, we require the minimum qualifications of 3 GCSE’s of A-C grades, 2 of which are English or Maths for supply applications. If you do not have these qualifications, we will be unable to process your request. You will be asked to provide the original certificates of the qualifications you hold, when you apply.

For teachers, you are required to hold a teaching qualification and again, you will be asked to provide the original certificates of the qualifications you hold.  If you are unable to do so, we will not be able to process your request.
